Recognition for Quality Hybrid and Online Courses

Sac State Faculty,

Attached is the CSU call seeking to evaluate and recognize exemplary hybrid or online courses as part of the system-wide QOLT program.  The Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) program was developed to assist faculty, faculty developers, and instructional designers to more effectively design hybrid and online courses.  In addition, the QOLT program was developed to recognize and share exemplary practices in CSU hybrid-online courses.

As CSU campuses offer more hybrid and online courses, it is important to define quality online teaching and learning, as well as to determine how to assess it and make any desired improvements. Approximately 10 CSU instructors and their courses will be selected to receive a CSU “Quality Online Learning and Teaching” award, which includes a CSU letter of recognition and certificate. Awardees will also be noted in CSU and campus announcements, as well as state and regional presentations regarding the CSU QOLT program.

Interested faculty are asked to attend a webinar on November 22 (noon-1pm).  Faculty who are considering submitting a course as part of the QOLT process, please let Raymond Pina know (rapina@csus.edu), our campus QOLT representative.
